Job summary

Surestaff is seeking an experienced Area Director to lead the growth, profitability, and operational performance of multiple branch and onsite locations across a multi-state region. This role is ideal for a strategic staffing leader who excels at developing teams, strengthening client partnerships, expanding market share, and delivering strong financial results.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in staffing, workforce solutions, operations, sales, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience managing multiple locations, business units, or regional operations.
• Staffing industry experience required.
• Proven P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and business development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, operations management, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple branch offices and onsite operations across the assigned region.
• Develop and execute regional plans that drive revenue, profitability, client retention, and market expansion.
• Own regional P&L performance, budgets, forecasts, and operational metrics.
• Coach and develop Area Managers, Branch Managers, and other operational leaders.
• Build executive-level client relationships, support new business opportunities, and expand strategic accounts.
• Partner with executive leadership on growth opportunities and operational improvements.
• Use market trends, workforce data, and business analytics to guide decisions.
• Ensure consistent service standards and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Travel regularly to branches, onsite locations, customer facilities, and company meetings.
