This senior role requires deep experience in building automation, HVAC controls, and mechanical systems, with a proven track record in managing project-based operations and driving financial performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in building technologies, building automation, HVAC controls, or related industries.
• At least 5 years in operations management with team leadership and business performance responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience managing project-based operations with revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction accountability.
• Experience overseeing a substantial portfolio of concurrent construction, retrofit, or building solution projects.
• Proven ability to manage P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and margin improvement.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across a regional Building Solutions organization, overseeing multiple operations teams and business functions.
• Drive financial performance, including revenue growth, gross margin, operating profit, forecasting, and overall P&L accountability.
• Oversee the successful execution of a large portfolio of concurrent projects involving building automation, HVAC controls, mechanical systems, and integrated building technologies.
• Lead and develop Operations Managers, Project Managers, and field leadership teams, establishing accountability and driving consistent operational performance.
• Improve project profitability through effective job-cost management, resource allocation, labor utilization, scheduling, and risk management.
• Partner with sales leadership to support business development, project pricing, contract negotiations, scope development, and execution strategies.
• Maintain strong executive-level customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, project quality, and long-term business growth.
• Develop workforce and resource plans to support current project demands and future business opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, strengthen project execution, and increase overall business efficiency.
• Partner with regional and corporate leadership to establish business objectives and execute strategic initiatives.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an operations professional with a background in building automation, HVAC controls, mechanical systems, or building technologies who has successfully led project-based operations and understands how to drive both operational execution and financial performance.

The ideal candidate has experience managing large project portfolios, leading multiple operational teams, developing customer relationships, and maintaining accountability for revenue, profitability, and overall business performance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of successful operations management experience with responsibility for leading teams and driving business performance.
• Demonstrated experience managing project-based operations with direct accountability for revenue, profitability, project execution, and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing a substantial portfolio of concurrent construction, retrofit, modernization, controls, or building solutions projects.
• Proven P&L management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and margin improvement.
• Experience leading and developing managers, project management teams, field personnel, and other operational leaders.
• Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, building automation, controls, and related mechanical or electrical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance, implement change, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong communication, financial, organizational, and customer relationship management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous leadership experience with a BAS, HVAC controls, building automation, or integrated building solutions contractor.
• Experience overseeing regional or multi-branch operations.
• Familiarity with building automation platforms, HVAC controls, and commercial building systems.
• Experience supporting sales organizations through project estimating, pricing, business development, and customer strategy.
• Experience managing operations across multiple geographic markets.
