Job summary

Shamin Hotels in Richmond, VA is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to guide a portfolio of hotels with a hands-on leadership style. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, coach General Managers, and drive financial performance to maximize guest satisfaction across full-service, select-service, and extended-stay properties.

Based in Richmond, you’ll partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and HR to align regional strategy with company goals, travel as needed, and ensure every property

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of hotel management experience, including multi-property oversight.
• Proven record in both full-service and select-service/extended-stay hotels.
• Deep experience with Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG brand standards and systems.
• Strong financial skills and experience managing P&Ls across several properties.
• A leadership style that motivates teams, builds accountability, and creates a culture people want to stay in.
• Comfort with PMS, RMS, and Microsoft Office, plus the communication skills to present well to any audience.
• A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field (master’s preferred).
• Willingness to travel often within the region and be available when your hotels need you.

• Champion the guest. Make sure every property meets or exceeds brand and service standards, and turn guest feedback into real improvement.
• Protect what we’ve built. Run property visits, audits, and inspections that keep hotels compliant, safe, and on-brand.
• Think big picture. Work with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management to win in each market, and help align regional strategy with company goals.
• Lead in a crisis. Guide emergency preparedness and response, and spot risks before they become problems.

Today Shamin Hotels is the largest hotel owner and operator in Virginia, with more than 70 hotels across multiple states. We’re still growing, and we need a Regional Director of Operations who can help write our next chapter.

This role is for an operator who knows that great hotels are built by great people, and who can move a P&L as confidently as they can coach a General Manager.
