Job summary

Living Innovations is seeking an Area Director to lead our regional teams. You will mentor Program Managers, hire and develop staff, and manage budgets and payroll while ensuring compliance with state guidelines. You’ll represent the mission to families, state agencies, and community partners.

As hands-on head for state projects and contracts, you’ll drive quality of care and staff engagement, maintaining a service-oriented leadership style under pressure.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on supervisory experience, preferably across multiple locations or programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare, or Business.
• Strong budgeting, payroll, and state social service regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor local Program Managers and Coordinators.
• Hire, develop and retain staff; build a strong leadership bench.
• Manage regional budgets, labor costs, payroll, and billing.
• Ensure programs meet safety, ethics and state guidelines.
• Build relationships with client families, state agencies, and community groups.
• Lead state projects, grants and specialized program contracts.
