The Harvard Radcliffe Institute is seeking a Regional Director of Major and Planned Gifts to strengthen a portfolio of major gift prospects in Greater Boston and NYC, and to develop a national planned giving program. The role reports to the Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts, and emphasizes proactive outreach, strategic donor engagement, and collaboration with Harvard partners.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least five years of progressively responsible development experience.
• Ability to identify and evaluate donor prospects and to establish and maintain relationships with them.
• Demonstrated success in donor cultivation and solicitation to advance institutional priorities.
• Ability to maximize giving potential and giving inclination using all available resources.
• Experience staffing high-level academic or other leaders in prospect meetings/trips is preferred.
• Must be a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced complex environment.

Aufgaben

• Manage a portfolio of 150-175 prospects for major and planned gifts across regional markets.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate new major and planned giving prospects with proactive outreach.
• Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals including gifts and donor visits.
• Engage donor prospects through referrals and collaboration with the research team.
• Develop and execute a proactive planned giving outreach strategy and build a national pipeline.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in Harvard’s Advance fundraising database.
• Plan and implement donor cultivation events 1–2 times per year with the events team.
