Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project is seeking a Grassroots Regional Director to lead the grassroots program across a large, geographically dispersed volunteer network. You will recruit, train, and coordinate advocacy efforts, and supervise regional leaders to advance legislative priorities for post-9/11 veterans.

Responsibilities include developing strategy, managing events and advocacy campaigns, and reporting outcomes to senior leadership. Travel is required for regional and congressional fly-ins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience with volunteers or staff.
• Experience in grassroots advocacy and policy engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement grassroots strategy for volunteers and alumni.
• Oversee regional grassroots engagement and leadership of volunteer leaders.
• Coordinate training, events, and advocacy opportunities.
• Track performance metrics and report to leadership.
• Plan large congressional fly-ins and regional events.
