Job summary

Apis Services, Inc. seeks a Regional Director for Massachusetts to provide operational, clinical, and financial oversight for multiple programs in the region.

You will lead high-performing teams, drive quality outcomes, and ensure programs deliver exceptional services aligned with our values. The role requires strategic leadership, culture-building, and partnership development with funders and community stakeholders, including census growth and service expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience supporting individuals with IDD, mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or similar populations.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing programs or teams in human services.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the region.
• Ability to obtain required background clearances.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure services are person-centered, trauma-informed, and aligned with best practices.
• Partner with Clinical and Quality teams to improve outcomes.
• Oversee implementation of corrective action plans and quality improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with federal, state, payer, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
• Monitor program compliance through audits and performance reviews.

Financial & Business Management

• Collaborate with program and finance teams to manage budgets and achieve financial goals.
• Monitor revenue cycle performance and key operational metrics.
• Ensure adherence to fiscal policies and reporting requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders and government agencies.
• Support new program development, business expansion, licensing, and RFP responses.
• Represent the organization with funders, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Advocate for the individuals and communities we serve.
• Develop strategic partnerships that support growth and service excellence.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a Human Services-related field
• Clinical experience in behavioral health, IDD, or related services.

• Must be available for frequent travel to all residential locations, meeting locations, and be responsible for on-call duties.
• Occasional evening, weekend, and overnight travel requirements.
• Combination of office, program, community, and meeting environments.
• Must be able to perform routine physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, driving.
