Brown University is seeking a Development Program Specialist to serve as the operational lead for the Director, Regional Development in NY. The role focuses on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major and principal-level donors across the NY and Eastern Seaboard regions.

Responsibilities include designing and executing engagement activities, guiding Development Associates, and ensuring consistent adherence to processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fundraising, development, customer relations, nonprofits, higher education, or administrative support.
  • Experience using a CRM system is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the operational lead for the Director, Regional Development (NY) in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and principal-level families.
  • Design, develop, plan, manage, and execute principal, major, and leadership giving engagement activities.
  • Provide training, onboarding, and guidance to Development Associates and Coordinators.
  • Collaborate with Advancement leadership, Alumni Relations, Development, and academic departments to ensure adherence to processes.
