Job summary

IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) is seeking a Development Coordinator to build donor, masajid, business, and community relationships across the assigned area. The role supports fundraising campaigns, regional events, and collaboration with regional staff and volunteers to expand IDEA’s regional presence.

The position requires travel, strong communication skills, and a commitment to IDEA’s mission and faith-inspired values.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising is required.
• Ability to travel at least 60% of the time within designated area.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace; familiarity with Salesforce, ClickUp or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, community institutions, volunteers, and the public.
• Strengthen relationships with masajid and identify opportunities for new relationships.
• Conduct outreach visits and represent IDEA at community events and program engagements.
• Plan, organize, host, and support regional fundraising activities and events.
• Respond to donor and community inquiries with accurate information about IDEA’s campaigns and opportunities.
• Schedule and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
• Prepare plans, projections, and reports for the Regional Community Fund Development Manager.
• Research local communities, prospects, and opportunities for fundraising strategies.
• Continue professional development through training and workshops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
