Job summary

IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) is seeking a Development Coordinator in Michigan to build donor and community relationships, support fundraising campaigns, and coordinate regional events. You will travel domestically up to 60% and collaborate with volunteers, partners, and staff to expand IDEA’s regional presence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong communication and project-management skills, and a passion for humanitarian work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience with grassroots or community engagement is preferred.
Ability to work with donor communities and diverse groups.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, and community groups.
Strengthen relationships with existing masajid and identify new partners.
Conduct outreach visits and represent IDEA at events and programs.
Plan, organize, and support regional fundraising activities and events.
Respond to inquiries about IDEA campaigns and opportunities.
Deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
Prepare plans, projections, and reports to leadership.
Research local communities and opportunities for fundraising strategies.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
