Job summary

FCA seeks a Director of Advancement to grow the ministry in the United States, leading fundraising, Donor and Talent advancement, and board engagement. You will implement multi-channel strategies, build donor relationships, and oversee a sizable portfolio while traveling up to 35% to advance the FCA mission and vision.

The role requires 7+ years of nonprofit fundraising, track record of seven-figure gifts, and strong leadership and communication skills to partner with staff, boards, and donors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional fundraising experience at a nonprofit organization of similar size and scope.
• Demonstrated success securing six and seven-figure gifts from individuals and institutions.
• Proven expertise cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors and partners.
• Ability to galvanize a team around a shared vision and strategy.
• Strong analytical skills to inform donor strategy and decisions.
• Experience collaborating with communications to deploy marketing strategies.
• Excellent public presentation skills.
• Humility, hope, and excellence to motivate participation in the mission.

Responsibilities

• Implement a multi-channel fundraising strategy to achieve annual revenue growth.
• Ensure timely donor recognition and reporting.
• Partner with local Boards and state leadership to leverage networks for fundraising opportunities.
• Build and manage a portfolio of ~150 qualified donors/prospects with significant giving potential.
• Design donor experiences and secure multi-year pledges.
• Lead the State or Major Market Donor Development Team.
• Submit timely activity reports and revenue forecasts.
• Apply best practices for donor segmentation and pipeline development.
• Approximately 35% off-site travel.
