Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to lead DEC Delivery Construction Management for data center projects. The ACM oversees New Builds, retrofits, and live-environment work with 50%+ travel, guiding 6–8 regions with 2–6 FTEs and partnering across Safety, QAQC, and Project Controls to deliver on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes leadership, financial stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration to scale a rapidly growing data center program at Meta.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in construction and project planning of complex, mission-critical projects.
• Experience with multiple contract delivery methods, legal considerations, and commercial terms.
• Design, build, retrofit and live-environment construction experience.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and manage rapid changes in a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee New Build, land ready and Construction Ready sites, provide preconstruction support and retrofit projects.
• Communicate clearly to the Area Manager and organization when capacity impacts arise.
• Monitor KPI and financial health of projects to ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide people management to site teams and foster Meta culture.
• Support contract and change order negotiations and CCAM prep; engage in negotiations when needed.
• Review contracts and change orders within signing authority.
• Coordinate with other ACMs to align priorities and share lessons learned.
• Ensure timely resolution of site issues.
• Onboard new hires and assist recruitment decisions across Areas.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to optimize processes and strategy.
• Provide fast feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Area Manager.
