Job summary

Accelerated Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant / Receptionist to support Front Office and Back Office duties across multiple California clinics. The role covers patient registration, scheduling, and clinical assistance, with travel between locations as needed.

The position requires a Medical Assistant Diploma and at least one year of related experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited program is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of multi-line phone systems and patient registration.
• Proficient with EMR and practice management software.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Front Office: greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments.
• Front Office: register patients and manage reception flow with HIPAA compliance.
• Back Office: assist providers, take vitals, document in EMR, handle specimens as needed.
• Back Office: perform phlebotomy when required and ensure exam rooms are prepared.
• Travel/Float: cover multiple clinic locations within the region as needed.
• Collaboration: work with team to ensure smooth patient experience and clinic flow.
