Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager (RUM) to lead all Commercial Real Estate underwriting and portfolio management across the Central Region.

You will drive credit quality, consistency, and portfolio risk management while guiding Senior Underwriters and CRE hubs in Minneapolis and Denver. You will partner with Relationship Managers and Credit teams to balance growth with disciplined risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• 10 or more years of banking experience
• Five or more years of management experience
• Preferred: advanced knowledge of CRE credit analysis and regulatory expectations

Responsibilities

• Lead all underwriting and portfolio management activities for the Central Region.
• Establish and execute regional underwriting strategies, priorities and objectives.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit partners and CRE leadership to support portfolio growth with sound credit discipline.
• Lead and develop a team of credit analysts and senior underwriters; coach Hub Managers.
• Oversee underwriting practices, processes and documentation across the region.
• Ensure compliance with credit policy, underwriting standards and governance requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to CRE market leaders and cross-functional partners.
