Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a seasoned Corrosion Control Supervisor to lead regional programs, oversee design and maintenance of cathodic protection systems, and ensure compliance with pipeline safety regulations. You will manage budgets, mentor staff, and coordinate with environmental and contracts teams across multiple locations in California and the Southwest.

The role requires extensive corrosion engineering experience, a Bachelor’s in engineering, strong leadership, and the ability to drive

Qualifications

• 10 years of corrosion-related experience with design and maintenance of corrosion control systems.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or related field.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with pipeline operations and DOT Part 195 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises regional corrosion control program to meet goals within budget and personnel.
• Plans projects, reviews progress, and adjusts priorities and schedules accordingly.
• Supervise corrosion supervisors and technicians; participate in staff selection and salary actions.
• Conducts performance evaluations and provides training and motivation.
• Coordinates annual safety, refresher and emergency response training for corrosion personnel.
• Develops budgets and monitors expenditures to ensure alignment with plans.
• Designs corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems including drawings and specs.
• Prepares contract drawings, specs and bid invitations when outside contractors are used.
• Plans, coordinates and directs jobs; liaises with departments on contracts and environmental compliance.
