Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Corrosion Technician to operate and maintain cathodic protection facilities across pipelines, terminals, and related sites.

You will plan and implement corrosion control programs and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires hands-on experience with CP systems, internal corrosion control, and PCS/CPDM software, with opportunities to support budget planning and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AMPP (NACE) CP or Corrosion Technologist Certification is required.
• Internal corrosion knowledge is an asset.
• Experience with PCS/CPDM software is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cathodic protection facilities.
• Evaluate internal corrosion program effectiveness and coupons.
• Adjust chemical injection pumps and schedule swabs.
• Monitor downtime and flow velocities.
• Conduct data analysis and remedial actions from CIS/Depolarization surveys.
• Design, install, and maintain CP rectifiers and ground beds.
• Supervise contractor crews on CP projects.
• Complete annual CP and NACE/DOT surveys.
