Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections seeks an Assistant Regional Chief for Region 4 of the Division of Community Corrections. Under general supervision, you will develop and implement regional programs and policies, supervise unit offices, and oversee the region’s budget as well as POGS and CCEP programs.

You will collaborate with public officials and agencies to improve service delivery, lead strategic initiatives, and guide staff through change while ensuring accountability and community

Qualifications

• Coordinating and/or implementing department-wide projects/programs (establishing timelines, setting goals and metrics, providing status updates).
• Conducting administrative management functions (planning, compliance, operational oversight).
• Supervising and managing employees (hiring; evaluating performance; coaching).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional programs and policies in Region 4.
• Supervise and direct regional unit offices and staff.
• Monitor and control the region’s operating budget and purchases of offender goods and services (POGS) and CCEP.
