Job summary

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is seeking a Regional Business Controller for the RoadGuard entity based in Westminster, CO, with weekly on-site reviews in Erie and coordination across the region.

You will lead accounting operations, own technical accounting, and partner with operations leaders to drive margin-focused decisions, including multi-entity consolidation and integration of acquisitions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on percentage-of-completion/cost-to-cost revenue recognition for long-term contracts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to distinguish performance shifts from timing artifacts
• Experience designing and improving accounting processes and systems
• Ability to travel occasionally across the Western US to regional offices and/or job sites
• Proven ability to unite cross-functional, diverse teams around shared performance goals
• Experience developing accounting talent and building team capability

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls and reviews in partnership with operations leaders.
• Advise operations leadership on indicators that drive company performance.
• Lead and improve core accounting functions: month-end close, GL, audits, reconciliations, internal controls.
• Own percentage-of-completion revenue recognition across multi-month projects and ensure accurate cost-to-cost mix.
• Investigate and explain cost and margin variances before reporting to leadership.
• Conduct technical accounting research and policy updates.
• Oversee accounting for complex transaction cycles and key accounts.
• Support post-close consolidation and intercompany elimination across multi-entity structures.
• Collaborate with FP&A on cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Build reliable reporting workbooks and data-refresh processes.
