Job summary

Compass Group USA, through its Restaurant Associates division, is seeking a Regional Controller to own financial reporting and analysis for a dedicated client across multiple locations. You will liaise between account leads, clients, and the corporate team to develop budgets and forecasts and manage month-end close.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, Excel proficiency, and the ability to communicate with non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting preferred).
• 5+ years of experience, including public accounting or relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage financial reporting and analysis for a dedicated client across multiple locations.
• Develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Manage monthly profit and loss activity and balance sheet performance including variance analysis and cost tracking.
• Track and manage client capex budgets.
• Present monthly, quarterly and annual financial data to key stakeholders.
• Support month end close process including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Maintain inventory controls and cost-management procedures.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures.
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable, and support cash flow management.
• Support audit process and maintain internal controls ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and financial visibility.
• Provide strategic financial support to Operation lead through analysis and interpretation of financial results.
• Provide monthly, quarterly and annual trend analysis to drive results and meet key performance targets
