Job summary

Skybound Service Partners is seeking a senior accounting professional to lead the accounting function for multiple operating companies and oversee the month‑end close, AP/AR, and project accounting processes across a fast‑growing organization.

The role focuses on implementing and optimizing an enterprise ERP (Sage Intacct or Oracle NetSuite), budgeting and financial planning, and partnering with Operations leadership to improve profitability. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA license a plus
• Direct experience with enterprise‑wide accounting software (Sage Intacct or Oracle NetSuite)
• Strong background in AP, AR, and accrual‑based accounting (POC accounting preferred)
• Experience budgeting and financial planning processes
• Experience implementing or enhancing accounting systems
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth organization
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Must reside in East or Central time zone
• Travel approximately 20–25% to support regional accounting operations and corporate initiatives

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function for assigned operating companies and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and operations
• Oversee AP and AR processing for accuracy and policy compliance
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month‑end close activities
• Manage project accounting, including WIP reporting, POC accounting, revenue recognition, and job cost analysis
• Analyze monthly financials, investigate variances, and partner with Operations leadership to improve profitability and forecast accuracy
• Support cash forecasting, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, and other corporate accounting activities
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and ERP optimization across operating companies
• Lead ERP implementation/adoption and oversee acquisitions, integrations, and system enhancements
• Provide mentorship to accounting staff and cross‑functional team members
• Collaborate with Operations, IT, Corporate Development, HR, and leadership on financial planning and reporting
• Support audits and corporate reporting initiatives
• Contribute to special projects and broader company growth
