Job summary

Skybound Service Partners is seeking a senior accounting professional to lead the accounting function across operating companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will own month-end close, AP/AR, journal entries, and project accounting, while driving process improvements and ERP optimization.

You will partner with Operations and Corporate leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analyses, contributing to acquisitions and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license a plus.
• Direct experience with enterprise‑wide accounting software (Sage Intacct or Oracle NetSuite).
• Strong background in AP, AR, and accrual‑based accounting with POC experience.
• Proven ability to support budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Experience implementing or enhancing accounting systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth organization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to travel 20–25%.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function for assigned operating companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities.
• Manage project accounting, including WIP reporting, POC accounting, revenue recognition, and job cost analysis.
• Analyze monthly financial results and partner with Operations leadership to improve profitability and forecast accuracy.
• Support cash forecasting, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, and other corporate accounting activities.
• Drive ERP implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization across the company.
