The State Group is seeking a Regional Controller based in Paducah, Kentucky. This leadership role oversees financial systems, reporting, and regional budgeting to support strategic decisions across operations.

Key responsibilities include supervising finance staff, ensuring GAAP/ASPE compliance, and partnering with operations to forecast and improve financial performance. CPA preferred but not required; 100% paid benefits and strong retirement plan offered.

• 7+ years of construction industry or project-based accounting background.
• Experience supervising and developing direct reports.
• College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial reporting software.
• Attention to detail and ability to work extended hours during closing/budgeting.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and improve financial systems for accurate information.
• Complete periodic financial reports in compliance with GAAP/ASPE/CAS and internal controls.
• Recommend metrics to measure operations and financial performance.
• Collaborate with divisional operations on results, WIP, and annual forecasts by region.
• Support VP in strategic reviews and operational improvements.
• Provide financial analysis and variance reports to operations, VP Finance, and CFO.
• Work with external auditors to resolve issues and complete audits.
• File quarterly and annual reports.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Maintain and continuously improve financial systems to ensure accurate information.
• Manage the completion of periodic financial reports and ensure the reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other internally established controls and policies.
• Recommend metrics and benchmarks to measure operations and financial performance.
• Collaborate with divisional operations to review results, WIP, and financials, and complete the annual forecast and budget by division for a specific region.
• Support the Group VP in strategic reviews and operational improvements.
• Provide financial analysis and variance reports for the operations team, VP of Finance, and CFO.
• Work with external auditors to resolve issues and complete scheduled audits.
• File quarterly and annual reports as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

• 7+ years of construction industry or a project-based accounting background required.

• College Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial reporting software.
