Job summary

The State Group in Paducah, Kentucky is seeking a Regional Controller to lead financial systems and reporting for the region. This role drives GAAP/ASPE/CAS compliance, collaborates with operations, and supports annual forecasts and budgeting for a multi-division footprint.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of construction industry accounting, strong Excel and reporting tool proficiency, and a track record of developing staff. This on-site role offers competitive pay and bonuses.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction industry or project-based accounting experience.
• Experience supervising and developing direct reports.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve financial systems to ensure accurate information.
• Manage the completion of periodic financial reports and ensure GAAP/ASPE/CAS compliance and internal controls.
• Recommend metrics and benchmarks to measure operations and financial performance.
• Collaborate with divisional operations to review results, WIP, and financials, and complete the annual forecast and budget by division for a specific region.
• Support the Group VP in strategic reviews and operational improvements.
• Provide financial analysis and variance reports for the operations team, VP of Finance, and CFO.
• Work with external auditors to resolve issues and complete scheduled audits.
• File quarterly and annual reports as required.
