Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Finance, Public Administration or relevant field.
• In lieu of degree, five years of related experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience in reimbursement, finance, contract negotiations with hospitals/providers.
• 2 years’ leadership/management experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work constructively with hospital administrators and provider entities.
• Knowledge of CMS and NYS pricing methodologies.
• Understanding of healthcare operations and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and enhances provider relationships while negotiating pricing.
• Evaluates and negotiates contracts per templates and standards.
• Analyzes contracting needs and proposes strategies to management.
• Implements contracting strategies to secure terms.
• Develops contracting roadmaps for DOH and CMS requirements.
• Coordinates with internal legal and risk management areas.
• Communicates contract status and progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with other departments on provider budgets and rate updates.
