Regional Construction Superintendent (Travel)

The Construction Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, ensure project quality and safety, and lead subcontractors and self-performed crews from start to finish. This full-time position based in Hamilton, VA requires travel to regional jobsites; candidates should have strong scheduling, coordination, and documentation skills to keep projects on time and within contract

Qualifications

• Associate degree or journeyman status with supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years with commercial or institutional GC.
• Experience with government contracting preferred (3+ years).
• Ability to read drawings and SOW.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations to meet milestones.
• Develop and maintain short-interval look‑ahead schedules.
• Supervise multiple trades of subcontractors and self‑performed staff.
• Review materials for submittals and specs.
• Coordinate work to be safe, efficient, and per contract docs.
• Write and track RFIs, maintain red‑line drawings, keep field docs current.
• Verify high-quality workmanship.
• Identify issues and help develop solutions.
• Obtain inspections and ensure quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and safety regs.
• Administer programs: CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship.
• Attend and lead progress meetings with owner/clients.
• Manage scope changes to prevent rework.
• Oversee punch lists and closeout.
• Maintain daily paperwork: timecards, field reports, schedules, correspondence.
• Foster professional jobsite culture: safety, cleanliness, teamwork
