Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator for our regional EHS team to support projects with safety inspections, planning, employee training, and incident investigations. This role requires strong organization, communication, and collaboration across site teams and management.

The Safety Coordinator will develop risk assessments, coordinate OSHA consultations, and implement safety programs while promoting Messer’s safety culture and community outreach efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field.
• 0–3 years of leadership experience in construction safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.
• Experience delivering employee safety training.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Understand project schedule for risk planning.
• Develop and manage relationships at all levels.
• Coordinate safety programs and training.
• Conduct safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Coordinate OSHA consultations/ partnerships.
• Assist in development and implementation of safety policies.
