Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Coordinator in the South Eastern Region to support planning and progress of construction and renovation projects across the Commonwealth.

The role requires daily travel to sites in Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, with occasional travel to Lehigh, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional building construction administration, construction planning, or construction project engineering experience for renovations and new construction of commercial, institutional, or educational buildings; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Project Monitoring: Track construction progress and identify issues that may slow or disrupt work.
• Technical Guidance: Provide direction to contractors and outside professionals on project expectations.
• Quality Assurance: Confirm that materials, inspections, and testing meet required standards.
• Change Orders: Review and evaluate proposed changes to determine their impact on project needs.
• Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project records through the department's electronic system.
• Agency Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for agencies to reduce disruptions during construction activities.
