Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Construction Project Coordinator for the South Eastern Region. Qualifications

• Four years of professional building construction administration, construction planning, or construction project engineering experience for renovations and new construction of commercial, institutional, or educational buildings.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active Pennsylvania Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• Reside in or relocate to Berks, Chester or Lancaster County.
• Willing and able to travel to specified counties within the South Eastern Region.

Responsibilities

• Project Monitoring: Track construction progress and identify issues that may slow or disrupt work.
• Technical Guidance: Provide direction to contractors and outside professionals on project expectations.
• Quality Assurance: Confirm materials, inspections, and testing meet required standards.
• Change Orders: Review and evaluate proposed changes to determine impact on project needs.
• Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project records through the department's electronic system.
• Agency Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for agencies to reduce disruptions during construction activities.
