Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified systems administrator to monitor and maintain C2BMC systems in a 24/7 operations and test environment. You will provide first-level technical support to warfighters and perform initial troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues.

You will document events to the CWO, receive direction from the CCC, and assist with hardware/software installations under SMEs. You may create user accounts per ISSO guidance and participate in rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required to access sensitive information.
• Must hold DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher: Security+ CE, SecurityX, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, or CISSP.
• Must maintain required DoD 8140 certification for contract duration.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Experience supporting operations & maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networks.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Perform daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of C2BMC systems in a 24/7 operations and test environment


• Provide first-level technical support to the warfighter


• Perform initial troubleshooting of local C2BMC hardware, software, and network issues


• Document and report all events and issues to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO)


• Receive tasking and direction from the CCC for operations, test, and real-world events


• Assist with hardware and software installations as directed by local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)


• Create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local Information System Security Officer (ISSO)


• Perform other duties and assignments as required

Requirements

• Security Clearance: Secret


• Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at the IAT Level II or higher: Security+ CE, SecurityX, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, or CISSP


• Must maintain the required DoD 8140 certification for the duration of the contract


• Minimum active DoD Secret clearance required


• Sound background and experience supporting operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/network environments


• Sound background and experience in system and/or network administration, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper environments


• Sound background and experience troubleshooting hardware and software components


• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


• Entry-level to experienced candidate with an advanced degree and 0–1+ years of experience, bachelor's degree and 0–3+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience


• Experience with and knowledge of the C2BMC System or Missile Defense Systems preferred


• Active TS/SCI clearance preferred


• Rotating 24/7 shift work, including occasional substitute coverage on nights and weekends
