Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in Queens, NY seeks a Compliance and Risk Specialist to lead internal reviews and ensure regulatory compliance across programs. This role demands travel within the region, strong ethics, and the ability to develop corrective action plans and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, compliance, or related field with 3 years’ experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel regularly to locations across assigned region.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Completes formal internal reviews and risk assessments for YAI programs annually.
• Maintains knowledge of laws and regulations governing documentation and billing.
• Provides on-site support during OPWDD DQI and OFPC surveys.
• Assists leadership with annual risk assessment and compliant plans.
• Participates in agencywide committees and regional leadership meetings.
• Monitors incidents and guides incident reporting in IRMA.
• Develops Plans of Corrective Action and safety planning for construction activities.
• Ensures person-centered services and HIPAA compliance.
