Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Community Staff Pharmacist to assist the Community Pharmacy Manager and support staff across multiple locations in the region. The role includes direct patient care, dispensing, immunizations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires an active IN/KY Pharmacist license, PharmD or BPharm, and certifications (BLS, Immunization). Travel to LaGrange, Floyd, Louisville and nearby sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Indiana and Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Immunization certification within 6 months of hire.
• Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to KY/IN locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
• Support orientation, training, and development of staff.
• Ensure compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program, accrediting bodies, REMS, payers, and regulations.
• Complete claim and invoice reconciliation as required.
• Maintain controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory, and dispensing records.
• Ensure staff immunization training and BLS certification are current.
• Safeguard medication storage and security; monitor shortages and mitigate delays.
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize medication errors.
• Report Good Catches, Adverse Drug Events, and medication errors.
• Coordinate safe transitions of care from hospital to patients and caregivers.
• Provide prompt, friendly service prioritizing patient well-being.
• Perform Community Pharmacy Manager duties in their absence.
