Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Community Staff Pharmacist (PRN Float) to support pharmacy operations across our Hardin, Hardin Pavilion, and Bardstown locations. This role includes dispensing, clinical duties, immunization administration, and ensuring 340B and regulatory compliance.

The position requires KY Pharmacist license, BLS, and immunization certification within 6 months, with travel to KY sites as needed. PRN float coverage offers flexibility within our community network.

Qualifications

• Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D. or B.Pharm) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Immunization certification to be obtained within 6 months.
• Must be willing to travel to other KY locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Community Pharmacy Manager with oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
• Support orientation, training, and development of community staff.
• Ensure compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program (if applicable), accrediting bodies, REMS, payers, audits, and state/federal regulations.
• Complete claim and invoice reconciliation as needed by the Community Pharmacy Manager.
• Ensure controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory, and dispensing comply with regulations.
• Maintain immunization protocols and ensure staff have current training including BLS.
• Ensure medication storage meets proper conditions and security.
• Monitor drug shortages and implement solutions to avoid delays.
• Help develop strategies to reduce medication errors.
• Coordinate safe transitions of care from hospital to patients, caregivers, and pharmacies.
• Provide prompt, friendly service prioritizing patient well-being.
