Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lexington, NC is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for regional routes. You will operate well-maintained sleeper tractors and haul 53' dry van trailers across the Southeast and beyond, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The position includes a generous weekly pay, sign-on bonuses, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days. Expect paid training, PTO, uniforms, boot and cell phone allowances, and a 401(k) with company match after one year.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass Ryder drug test.
• Must pass Ryder background and motor vehicle checks for the last 3 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months / 2 years / 5 years in specified periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $1250 after 30 days and $1250 after 90 days
• $65 per night in the truck with 3 - 5 nights per Week
• Robust backhaul program offering additional miles, $50 for pickup and $50 for delivery

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
