Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, NC, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. The role covers regional routes with sleeper tractors and 53' dry vans, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and paid training.

Expect 3–5 nights per week in the truck, a 65 USD nightly allowance, and a robust backhaul program. Responsibilities include safe operations, regulatory compliance, and loading/unloading as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years OR 2 years within the last 5 years OR 5 years within the last 10 years
• Must be able to pass Ryder drug test, background, and DOT physical

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating safety hazards and maintaining accurate logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting when required
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Sign On Bonus:$2500.00 1/2 at 30 days 1/2 at 90 days
• $65 per night in the truck with 3 - 5 nights per Week
• Robust backhaul program offering additional miles, $50 for pickup and $50 for delivery

• Schedule: Sunday to Friday

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
