Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Concord, NC with a weekly pay structure and strong benefits. The role offers a 40+ hour work week, overtime pay, per diem, and paid training, with routes across the Eastern US. Start time around 6:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with overnight stays and hotel lodging as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires Class B CDL with verifiable experience in tractor trailer or similar vehicle.
• Minimum 9 months experience in past 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years or 5 years in last 10 years.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, background check, and DOT physical and road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and logs for safety and compliance.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $25.50 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: Around 6:00 AM

• Deliver SOLOTo: FL and Locations Throughout the Eastern US. Away from home up to 85% of the time
• Tractor Type: Mixture of Sleeper Tractors with 53ft Trailers & 26' Straight Trucks
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• 1 year Dry Van experience required.
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
• Freight: Touch/Driver Assist - HVAC

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
