Job summary

Clean Harbors is looking for a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join their safety conscious team in Smithfield, KY. This route runs from Smithfield, KY to Greencastle, IN and Cape Gerardo, MO and averages 60 hours per week.

The role offers a strong pay package with drivers averaging $90K-$120K per year plus a $7,500 sign-on bonus and weekly home time. Comprehensive benefits include health coverage after 30 days, 401K with company matching, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Minimum 3 months of tanker experience.
• Ability to climb and lift 50 lbs; comfortable with loading/unloading hazardous waste.
• Ability to use mobile apps and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor trailer tanker units.
• Adhere to weight limits and proper unit utilization.
• Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Properly secure loads.
• Placard vehicle per DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and inspection reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer tanker units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste;
• Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Minimum 3 months of tanker experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to climb and work from heights
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
