Job summary

Cushing Terrell in Billings, MT seeks a Civil Engineer Regional Lead to grow the civil engineering presence, build an in-office team, and deliver projects across land development, transportation, and municipal engineering.

You will lead client relationships, pursue work with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborate across design disciplines with the backing of a 500-person firm. Relocation assistance is considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience across land development, transportation, municipal projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Montana or eligible via reciprocity; NCEES license required.
• Ability to lead and grow a civil engineering team and collaborate across design disciplines.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; working knowledge of WaterCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, ArcGIS, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• Strong project and program management skills with track record of delivering on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a local civil engineering team with mentorship and resource planning.
• Identify, pursue, and secure civil engineering work in Billings through business development and client relationships.
• Prepare and negotiate fee proposals, contracts, cost estimates, field reports, and schedules.
• Lead project delivery with oversight of calculations, plans, reports, specs, and quality control.
• Develop client relationships and partner with engineering leadership across disciplines.
• Manage budgets and schedules, allocating staff to meet deliverables.
