Job summary

Web Business Solutions Inc. is seeking a Regional Chief Instructor for EC to oversee adjunct faculty, coordinate seminar cohorts, and monitor instructional quality at multiple regional campuses.

This role includes teaching at least one course per academic year and leading faculty development initiatives in collaboration with CDET stakeholders. The incumbent will supervise LMS enrollment, ensure timely grading and course closeout, and deliver periodic performance feedback to the RD and Deans,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Military Studies or equivalent field.
• Completion of a regional Master Sergeant/First Sergeant Seminar or higher is required.
• A high school Diploma can be substituted with 10 years of additional experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop EC adjunct faculty across regional campuses.
• Teach at least 1 course per academic year in CSCDEP, EWSDEP or ECDEP.
• Conduct faculty development with adjunct faculty in each region.
• Ensure faculty orientation and grading compliance per program rubrics.
• Provide feedback and performance assessments to the RD and Deans.

*This position is contingent upon contract award*Regional Chief Instructor - ECLocations: Quantico, VA; Camp Lejeune, NC; Fort Worth, TX; Camp Pendleton, CA; MCAS Miramar, CA; MCB Hawaii; MCB Okinawa, Japan | Employment type: Full timeJob purposeThe Regional Chief Instructor for EC manages and develops EC adjunct faculty, coordinates seminar cohorts and faculty assignments, monitors instructional quality, and supports students and faculty across CDET regional campuses.Duties and responsibilitiesSubmit qualified Adjunct Faculty (AF) biographies to the CDET Dean of Academics for verification of qualifications.Meet the CDET instructor evaluation standards for its onsite and online seminars.Teach at least 1 course (by course number) per academic year (AY) in their respective programs (CSCDEP, EWSDEP or ECDEP).Conduct faculty development (FD) (to include instructional methods) with AF in each region, using CDET FD tools and in conjunction with the CDET FD program. The Contractor shall provide AF with ten (10) hours of local FD per AY.Ensure respective AF complete Faculty Orientation 101 training and determine AF strengths and weaknesses.Interact routinely with CDET associate deans and course subject matter experts/directors to maintain content currency and to assist with AF questions.Monitor Institutional Research (IR) data and reports for each region and brief results to the respective RD.Evaluate students and AF end of course feedback and provide the RD and Associate Deans with electronic feedback recommendations.Ensure AF grading follows each program's faculty handbook and grading rubrics, and ensure all grades are reported within the CDET LSS within 10 days of course completion or report any unfinished activity to the RD in accordance with CDET Policy 5-17.Ensure that faculty complete end-of-course (EOC) surveys via the LMS at the end of each seminar course. The Contractor shall encourage maximum participation of student responses for EOC surveys.Make a minimum of two visits per year, on a semi-annual basis, to remote locations within the regions that have AF-led seminars.Deliver feedback to the RD and CDET Dean of Academics on AF performance, per CDET faculty evaluation criteria, monthly and provide an annual cumulative assessment on all regional faculty.Review and recommend papers for MCU writing awards.Ensure LMS enrollment of eligible faculty and students into courses and provide faculty and students with limited basic LMS support.Grade students' papers, essays, planning products and perform any additional grading requirements as specified in the CDET course closeout policies and timelines.Attend the annual CDET Faculty workshop at Quantico VA, which is normally five consecutive days in the summer months.Collect any adjunct faculty ad hoc reports as required by CDET or MCU.QualificationsCompletion of a regional Master Sergeant/First Sergeant Seminar or higher is required. Completion of Resident Senior Enlisted PME Course is highly recommended.An Associate's degree can be substituted with 5 additional years of experience. A high school Diploma can be substituted with 10 years of additional experience.EducationBachelor's degree in Military Studies or equivalent field.Years of Relative Work Experience:Minimum Years of Experience: Twenty (20) years of relevant experience including in, but not limited to, in the United States Marine Corps while serving as an E-8 or higher.Clearance:Minimum Tier 1 background investigation and Government-access eligibility are required; an active Secret clearance is required before supporting classified events or tasks.
