Job summary

National Church Residences in Indianapolis seeks a chaplain to oversee volunteer Chaplains and provide spiritual care across affordable housing communities. You will cultivate relationships with local faith communities and recruit/train volunteers to expand ministry partnerships.

You will participate in interdisciplinary care, support bereavement services, ensure compliant documentation, and help coordinate care plans with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Ordination must be in good standing with a denomination.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited theology school preferred.
• Minimum 12 months ecumenical pastoral care experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and supports volunteer Chaplains providing spiritual care.
• Builds relationships with local faith communities for ministry partnership.
• Recruits and trains new volunteers to serve as chaplains.
• Assists with bereavement services and related activities.
• Documents and maintains client records and reports as required.
• Attends interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans.
