Job summary

REGIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED

This is a regional travel position and is not assigned to one facility.

Regional Float Pool CNAs must be willing and able to regularly travel to assigned Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care facilities approximately 35-60 miles from the Oklahoma City metro area.

Travel is an essential requirement of this position.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Eligible business mileage is reimbursed in accordance with Vital Healthcare Jobs’ mileage reimbursement policy.

Vital Healthcare Jobs is hiring experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for our Regional Float Pool.

Our Regional Float Pool provides critical staffing support to Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care facilities throughout our service area. We’re looking for experienced, dependable CNAs who can step into different facility environments, adapt quickly, and provide quality resident care when facilities need additional support.

Because our Regional Float Pool is often called upon during increased staffing needs, our CNAs must be able to remain calm, organized, and professional in fast-paced and short-staffed environments.

What You’ll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, and nutrition
• Take and accurately record vital signs
• Provide routine CNA-level care and comfort measures
• Accurately document resident care
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Follow resident care plans and applicable facility policies and procedures
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
• Adapt quickly to different facilities, teams, routines, and resident assignments
• Remain calm, organized, and professional in fast-paced and short-staffed situations
• Prioritize assigned resident care responsibilities while maintaining resident safety and dignity
• Communicate effectively with nurses and other members of the care team
• Provide safe, respectful, and compassionate resident care
• Perform assigned duties within your CNA training, certification, and scope of practice

What You’ll Need

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of recent Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience
• Willingness and ability to regularly travel to assigned facilities approximately 60 miles from the Oklahoma City metro area
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced and short-staffed environments
• Ability to adapt quickly to different facility settings, teams, and routines
• Ability to appropriately prioritize assigned resident care responsibilities
• Effective communication with nursing staff and the ability to recognize when assistance or direction is needed
• Dependability and commitment to accepted and scheduled assignments
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to meet applicable facility, regulatory, background, and employment requirements
