Job summary

AMBSIMS & Associates Corp is seeking Class A CDL regional truck drivers to haul batteries on regional routes out of Yuma, AZ. This dry van role offers weekly home time and loads across the Southwest and Mountain West, with daily lift gate and pallet jack unloading required at stops.

You will operate a tractor-trailer on regional runs, ensure safety and DOT compliance, and adapt to schedules determined by seniority. Benefits and competitive pay are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• No more than three moving violations in past three years
• No more than one DOT recordable accident in past three years
• Minimum 9 months tractor-trailer experience in past three years
• DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile before hire
• At least 22 years old

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on regional routes
• Haul batteries for a national dedicated customer
• Unload freight at each stop using lift gate and electric pallet jack
• Run routes throughout AZ, West TX, Southern California, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico
• Complete reports and records accurately, and follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
• Maintain flexibility on departure days, as schedules and loads are assigned by seniority

About Us

Client is hiring Class A CDL regional truck drivers in Yuma, AZ, to haul batteries for a national dedicated customer. This is a dry van position with weekly home time. Drivers deliver freight across the Southwest and Mountain West and unload at each stop using a lift gate and electric pallet jack.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer (dry van) on regional routes

• Haul batteries for a national dedicated customer

• Unload freight at each stop using a lift gate and electric pallet jack

• Run routes throughout Arizona, West Texas, Southern California, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico

• Complete reports and records accurately, and follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures

• Maintain flexibility on departure days, as schedules and loads are assigned by seniority

Compensation and Schedule

• $28.92 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours

• Home weekly

• Departure day varies, so drivers must be flexible

Minimum Requirements

• At least 22 years old

• Valid Class A CDL

• No more than three moving violations in the past three years (some restrictions apply)

• No more than one DOT recordable preventable accident in the past three years

• 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past three years

• A profile created in the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse at clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov before hire
