Job summary

Altom Transport is seeking a Regional Driver to safely operate tanker trucks moving bulk liquids across routes. Expect thorough pre/post-trip inspections, meticulous log maintenance, and professional communication with dispatch and customers.

A strong safety record and compliance with DOT/EPA guidelines are essential for successful performance. Qualified drivers will hold a valid CDL Class A with required endorsements, have tanker experience, and be able to complete mandatory safety training.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license and current X endorsement (Hazmat + Tanker).
• Tanker Endorsement (N) required; Hazmat endorsement preferred within 90 days of hire.
• TWIC card preferred (or must obtain after hire).
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable tanker driving experience within the last 5 years.
• Must be at least 23 years old and maintain a clean MVR and safety record.
• No DUI/OWI on record within the last 5 years; FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse compliance required.
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
• 1-week minimum in-person training and quarterly safety meetings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tanker trucks transporting bulk liquid materials.
• Load and unload using hoses, pumps, and valves with strict safety protocols.
• Conduct and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and inspection reports.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, and all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Represent Altom with professionalism during customer interactions.
