Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways, Inc. is hiring a dependable Company Driver to haul freight across our regional lanes. This role offers daily local and regional runs, steady miles, and a pay structure that rewards safe, experienced drivers.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with 1 year of experience, High School Diploma or GED, and DOT/FMCSA compliance. HazMat endorsement and TWIC are treated as pluses. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year of experience.
• HazMat endorsement preferred, not required.
• TWIC card preferred, not required.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and all required DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Verify bills of lading, collect signatures/receipts, and ensure all paperwork is complete and correct.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance (fluids, minor repairs); keep trailer clean and ready.
