Job summary

DSV is seeking a Regional Driver to safely and efficiently complete regional deliveries in and around LAREDO, TX. The role requires a CDL A license and several years of experience with load securement and customer service, aligned with DOT/FMCSR rules.

You will operate semi-trailers, coordinate with dispatch, and ensure compliance with safety standards while maintaining professional customer interactions in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• CDL A License Required.
• A minimum of 2 years CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years. 3+ years CDL A driving experience preferred.
• Meet D.O.T. qualification requirements, FMCSR 391.41.
• Experience in load securement, route planning, and navigating various road conditions.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive cargo with care.
• Detail-oriented / mindset required.
• Must have a TWIC or eligible to obtain a TWIC card within 90 days, if required.

Responsibilities

• Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more.
• Backs trailers to customer dock.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior.
• Communicates with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
• Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing (subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing).
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
• Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Swings and secures trailer doors.
• Performs other duties as required.
