Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an experienced CDL-A driver for regional routes with 1–3 day layovers. Schedule 4–5 days per week, starts between 11PM–3AM, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Training pay of $300 per day applies during onboarding, followed by route-pay based on miles, cases, and stops. Expect competitive benefits from Day 1, strong safety standards, and opportunities to advance within America’s food distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• Foodservice distribution experience preferred.
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (PeopleNet).
• Hand-held delivery scanning system experience (POD).
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ and meet MVR requirements.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test and DOT requirements.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections (pre/post trip) and ensure DOT compliance.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Ensure proper loading/unloading and secure freight; verify paperwork.
• Maintain daily records and hours of service compliance.
• Unloading and securing freight; handle damaged goods and returns as needed.
• Assist with general duties to support efficient delivery operations.
