Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Regional CDL A Delivery Driver to service regional restaurant accounts from Coppell, TX. You will build relationships with customers while delivering essential food products, with overnight stays and a four-day schedule.

Night shifts are common, with 1–2 overnights per week. You will unload up to 350 lbs, use a two-wheeler and ramp, and operate safely per DOT standards. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL required at hire with 1–2 years driving experience.
• Must be able to unload up to 350 lbs with a two-wheel cart and read labels, etc.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Pass a drug test and background check; DOT Clearinghouse registration required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to regional chain restaurants and build relationships with customers.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and use a ramp and two-wheeler during shifts.
• Maintain safety, follow company policies, and ensure accurate paperwork.

Night shifts and regional routes mean you’ll be home most nights, with 1 or 2 overnights required each week. Pay & Benefits

• Pay: Guaranteed minimum of $1250/week Daily base pay, plus component bay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered
• Schedule: 4-day work week with overnights Monday-Saturday
• Start times will vary One and two-day routes

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire with 1-2 yrs driving experience
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020
