Gordon Food Service invites you to join as a Regional CDL A Delivery Driver in Rockford, IL. You will deliver food products to regional restaurant accounts, build lasting customer relationships, and handle unloading with a two-wheel cart on a fast-paced route.

You’ll work a 4-day schedule with overnights, staying in hotel rooms paid for by GFS, and you’ll earn a strong compensation package including base pay, per-mile and per-delivery bonuses, plus weekly per diems.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL license required.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Must be registered in the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.

Responsabilités

• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and use a ramp and two-wheeler.
• Work 4 days per week with overnights; overnight runs from Sunday and Wednesday nights with returns in the morning.

Regional CDL A Delivery Driver

Do you have a passion for driving and customer service? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to regional chain restaurants. Night shifts and regional routes mean you’ll be home most nights, with 1 or 2 overnights required each week. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Feel safe and secure at a company that values and respects you. Pay

Pay: Drivers average $85,000 - $95,000/year Guaranteed minimum of $1100/week Daily base pay, plus component bay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Schedule

• 4-day work week with overnights
• 1st overnight run departs Sunday night and returns early Tuesday morning
• 2nd overnight run departs Wednesday night and returns early Friday morning
• Overnights are spent in a hotel paid for by GFS and per diem for meals is provided.

Eligibility

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License is REQUIRED
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
