Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Regional Capacity Planner to drive capacity planning across multiple AWS regions, delivering a single plan of record for each region. You will focus on improving infrastructure utilization and availability while coordinating with the AWS Organization to align demand with data center capacity.

This high-impact role requires strong analytical and people skills to drive insights and cross-functional collaboration, with opportunities to influence long-term AWS capacity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, lookup, nested formulas).

Responsibilities

• Shape the infrastructure strategy of your region and plan for future growth in the 0-24 month horizon.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and implement scalable resolutions.
• Communicate ideas concisely to stakeholders for informative or leadership approvals.
• Plan for network requirements per site and for rack landings in constrained regions.
• Plan and initiate dedicated spine builds and resize per planning values.
• Prepare and present mitigated views in weekly review meetings.
