Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Regional Business Office Consultant to oversee business office operations for a group of skilled nursing facilities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience managing a SNF business office and strong Medicare/Medicaid billing expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience managing a skilled nursing facility business office.
• Extensive billing and collections experience across Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Private Pay, and Medicaid Pending.
• Experience training and educating staff in person and remotely.
• Knowledge of internal controls, policy and procedures.
• Experience with managed care billing and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and support for a group of skilled nursing facilities' business office operations.
• Monitor billing and collection efforts to ensure timely payments.
• Audit and train staff on business office policies and procedures.
• Communicate collection protocols to at-risk accounts and escalate with Administrators and Regional Director of Operations.
• Collaborate with Administrators and Regional DO for improvement and support.
• Ensure compliance with resident trust fund processes and system workflows.
• Utilize Point Click Care and other systems to manage accounts receivable and billing.

Job Requirements

• Accounts Receivable Experience
• Consult and guide designated Business Office Managers
• Monitor billing and collection efforts
• Audit and training provided for all Business office policy and procedures
• Communicate and use collection protocols for any at risk accounts
• Communicate and escape at risk items with Administrator and Regional Director of Operations
• Knowledge of Iowa Medicaid Pending, Recertification, and Authorization
• Participate, provide guidance, analyze system compliance, conduct AR Reviews and provide education
• Collaborate with Administrator and Regional DO for involvement, improvement, and support
• Experience with Managed Care billing and processes
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and payments are being received by designated timelines
• Monitor for compliance of Internal Controls
• Knowledge of Resident Trust Fund processes
• Previous experience training and educating all levels of staff in person and remotely
• Long Term Care Billing experience is required for consideration.
