This is a field-based remote role available in all cities within the Western Region US. While specific cities are listed for reference, they are examples only and do not limit your application. Position Summary

The RBD leads and guides sales strategies for the organization’s products in the region. The role requires a seasoned sales leader with strong understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and business development. Responsibilities include developing strategic business plans, managing budgets, and fostering a motivated, diverse team committed to success and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of District Business Managers and Application Sales Managers calling on Eye Care Professionals to support Johnson & Johnson’s Surgical portfolio within the region.
  • Oversee a segment of Private Equity accounts to maintain and grow business, partnering with National, Corporate, Government, and Strategic Accounts.
  • Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with company strategies, ensuring compliant product sales growth.
  • Hire, motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team capable of executing strategic plans and achieving results.
  • Utilize sales technology and data analytics to optimize planning and efforts.
  • Monitor expenses, maintain key relationships, and identify resources to achieve growth and profitability.
  • Promote a high-performance, outcomes-focused sales organization valuing diversity and continuous development.
  • Champion talent development, coaching, and retention, building a pipeline of future leaders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of healthcare commercial experience, with medical device sales preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of team management experience.
  • Experience in ophthalmology sales is an asset.
  • Experience with medical device capital equipment and disposables preferred.
  • Diverse cross-functional experience is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of sales principles are required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnights and weekends.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
  • Reside within the Western Region US and close to a major airport.
The anticipated base salary range is $146,000 to $251,850. The role is eligible for performance bonuses, benefits, and time-off as detailed. The posting closes on 4/30/25, but may be extended.
